Aligning work hours to circadian cycles

The New York Times reports on businesses which attempt to align workers’ hours with their sleep cycles.

Money quote: ‘If you rely on an alarm clock to wake up, you’re out of sync with your own biology.’

Another interesting note is that there’s a time of peak thinking & reaction about an hour or two after waking up, and another in the late afternoon. This is a great argument for remote working: one can shower up & start working with one peak in the morning, and hit the other in the afternoon.
